[Singapore] Sharing your contact details as a Professional Account seller
[New paid feature] Choose to add contact details to your profile to increase reach
Let buyers contact you directly and abide by our platform guidelines. With your contact details displayed on your profile, it’s easier for buyers to reach out to you outside Carousell and bring you more potential leads.
📢 This is a paid feature and it is entirely up to you to enable it. Enable it only if it suits your selling needs—it’s completely up to you.
Only Professional sellers who’ve turned on the contact details feature in their profile can share contact information.
If you haven’t enabled this feature:
- All chats and transactions must stay on Carousell
- You should not include contact details in your bio, listing images, or descriptions
This helps protect both buyers and sellers in our community and is a part of our Listing Rules.

Who can share contact details
You can add and share your contact details on your profile if you:
- Are KYC verified
- Choose to make your contact details visible
⚠️ This feature isn’t available for sellers listing in the Mobile Phones & Gadgets category due to the risk of off-platform transactions.
How to enable this feature
- Go to Settings > Edit Profile
- Add your contact and business information
- Once your business details are updated, go to the Contact details tab on your profile page
- Verify your identity via Singpass
- Turn on visibility to let users see your contact details — and you’re all set
How contact viewers work
We count each contact viewer only once—even if they view multiple details or view them multiple times.
🚫 Views from competitors selling in the same category won’t be counted.
A service fee only applies if you have 10 or more contact viewers in a given month.
You won’t be charged a service fee if:
✅ You have fewer than 10 contact viewers that month
✅ Your buyer completes a transaction with you on Carousell (via Chat or the ‘Buy’ button)
✅ You’re on a sales package (includes unlimited contact views)
✅ You’re on a CarouBiz plan (includes up to 300 free contact viewers; fees apply for additional viewers)
Depending on your CarouBiz package, you’ll have a monthly limit on free contact views.

How will my service fee be calculated if a user taps and views more than 1 of my contact details?
When a user taps to view one or more of your contact details (e.g. phone number and email), it counts as one contact viewer, and the higher service fee will apply. The fees will appear as separate line items in your monthly service fee invoice.
Example:
Viewer A taps to view your phone number and email address → 1 view (S$1 per click)
Buyer B taps to view your email address and website link → 1 view (S$0.50 per click)
📌 Views from competitors selling in the same category are excluded.
Will I receive a double charged service fee if my buyer views my contact details and also transacts with me?
If your buyer has already transacted with you on Carousell in the same month, you won’t be charged a service fee for contact views.
Similarly, if you’re already charged for an outbound chat or WhatsApp button click, you won’t be charged again when a buyer views your contact details.
Will my viewer count reset if I upgrade to a higher tier CarouBiz package?
Your viewer count will not reset if you upgrade to a higher tier CarouBiz package. Your viewer count will continue to accumulate and your benefit from the upgraded package will be applied moving forward.
Example:
If 20 users have viewed your contact details and you upgrade to a Growing Caroubiz, you will have an additional 30 free contact viewers before service fee is applied.
Can I choose which contact details to show (e.g. only my email, not my phone number)?
You may choose to leave out parts of your contact and business information that you don’t wish to share in your profile settings. However, if you’ve added them in, all information will be visible — there’s no option to choose which one to show or hide.
How do I know how many contact views I have reached in a month?
You’ll receive notifications in your Updates tab when a buyer taps to view your contact details. You can also view your contact views history under Insights in Me page > Growth summary > Activity details.
Will I be notified when I reach my free contact views limit?
No. Any additional views past your subscription limit will be billed under your service fee invoice for that transaction month.
What happens if I exceed my free contact views limit?
Any additional views beyond your monthly free contact viewers will be billed in your monthly service fee invoice.

Can I turn off my contact details anytime?
Yes. You may go to Contact details in your profile and turn it off anytime.
What happens if I disable my contact details? Will I still be charged?
f you decide to disable your contact details from being visible to users, any previous views that exceed your CarouBiz plan’s monthly free limit will still incur the service fee charge up until the day you turned off visibility for your contact details.
Is there a way to check which users viewed my contact details?
If a user taps on your contact details, it will open a new chat and you’ll be notified in your Updates tab.
What if I’m not KYC verified yet?
You’ll need to complete KYC verification first before you can enable and share your contact details. If you have issues with KYC verification, reach out to us via Contact Support.
