What is Estimated Revenue?
This feature is available for Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines and Malaysia users.
How is my estimated revenue calculated?
Our system automatically detects and estimates your revenue based on your completed transactions from chats, outbound chats (taken out of Carousell) and through the ‘Buy’ button.
Your estimated revenue breakdown for each transaction includes:
- Sold price
- Quantity
- Price of other items (if applicable)
Your estimated revenue from transactions made via chats and the ‘Buy’ button is typically updated within a few days after the transaction is completed.
💡 Heads up on outbound chat revenue
Revenue from outbound chats is calculated based on the quality of leads generated— regardless if a transaction eventually took place.
To improve accuracy in revenue estimation, we recommend keeping all chats on the Carousell platform.
Is this feature available to all sellers?
No, this feature is exclusively available to Professional Accounts* and CarouBiz subscribers.

Is the estimated revenue 100% accurate?
While we strive for high accuracy, these estimates are based on AI calculations and may not always reflect your actual earnings. However, they provide a close approximation, helping you track your financial performance without manual calculation.
Can I update my estimated revenue?
Yes, you can request to edit the revenue via the transaction details page and we will review it accordingly.
Why does my transaction value include items from another listing?
The estimated revenue is derived based on the conversation between the buyer and seller. If another item was discussed and purchased within the same chat, it may be included as part of the transaction value, even if the conversation originally started from a different listing.
For example, if the chat started from Listing X, but Listing Y was later discussed and purchased in the same conversation, the revenue from Listing Y may also be counted.
This applies when the purchase happened within the same chat transaction and invoice month.
What happens if I have a refund or cancellation for transactions via chats?
Our system tracks estimated revenue based on transactions made through chats. If any of these are later refunded or cancelled, you can submit a modification request for that specific transaction.
What about payments received through the 'Buy' button?
Any orders cancelled via the 'Buy' button will be automatically updated in the system.
Can I view my estimated revenue for previous months?
Yes, you can view your monthly estimated revenue for the past 3 months.
