What is Smart Bump?

Bumps, our most popular seller tool, has proven to get up to 70% more impressions. 

You can now maximise Bumps with the new automated option, Smart Bump. With Smart Bump, we will keep your listing amongst the top, within your budget. 

When does my listing with Smart Bump get bumped? 

Depending on the current position of your listing, the Smart Bump may not be triggered immediately upon purchase. Your listing will bump automatically when our system recognises that your listing has moved down in ranking below the optimal position. The optimal position of a listing is dynamic and can vary depending on the time and category that the listing is in. 

To optimise your budget, Smart Bumps are spaced hours apart, and paused from 2AM–6AM.

When do I get charged?

Carousell Coins will be deducted from your account at the point of purchase of Smart Bump. 

What will cause my Smart Bump Campaign to end?

Your Smart Bump campaign will end upon a change in listing category or when your listing has been marked as sold, deleted or expired. You will receive a refund for your unused Bumps once your campaign has been stopped. 

Will all my Smart Bumps be used up in a day?

Rest assured, we will not expense your entire Smart Bump budget in a day. Your listing will not be bumped for more than 4 times a day* if you are using Smart Bump.

How long will my Smart Bump campaign run for?

Depending on your campaign target and performance of your listing, your Smart Bump campaign can go on for days, weeks or even months, until all Smart Bumps have been used up or if your listing has been marked as sold or changes category.

How do I see how many Smart Bumps have been used? 

You can check how many Smart Bumps have been used by clicking on the bump listing button from the seller tools page. This page will show you how many Smart Bumps have been consumed. Upon completion of your Smart Bump campaign, we will also notify you via a push notification.

How do I know when my listing was bumped? 

You can refer to your listing insights to see if your listing was bumped on that day, identified by the green lightning icon. We are also looking to further enhance this view for you in the near future to show how many Smart Bumps were used for the day, and when! 

Can Smart Bump and Regular Bump be used together? 

Yes, you can run both types of Bumps concurrently. While running a Smart Bump campaign, you can choose to activate your own instant/customise Bump as per your preferred timings. 

Can I enter a specific number of Smart Bumps I want to purchase? 

There are various options for Smart Bump purchases ranging from the minimum of 5 Bumps to the maximum of 50 Bumps. We currently do not have the option to allow users to customise the exact number of Bumps to purchase but we will look into having it in the future! 

Can I add more Smart Bumps to my current campaign? 

We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying this feature so much. Unfortunately, we do not have this add-on feature yet and are looking to have it in future! 

Is it guaranteed that Smart Bump will perform better than the Regular Bump?

Smart Bump is a new bump option and does not guarantee better visibility performance to the other Bump types. Smart Bump is focused on optimising your budgets rather than driving higher visibility performance.
