What is Shoutout?
Shoutout is a new way to promote your profile and custom collections* with engaging banners and images. It allows buyers to see your profile while searching and browsing for items that are similar to what you have listed on Carousell.
**Custom collection option is only available for CarouBiz subscribers.
Shoutout profiles will appear in relevant categories, and are shown to buyers who are already searching for items that are similar to what you have in your profile.
How do I purchase a Shoutout?
Firstly, you need at least 3 active listings before you can run a Profile Shoutout. For Shoutouts using custom collections, please ensure that you have 3 listings from active listings in the custom collection.
- Tap on ‘Promote’ button on any of your listings to access the Seller Tools page
- Select the option to ‘Create Shoutout’
- Choose to link your Shoutout campaigns to your profile page or custom collection
- Enter your campaign caption
- Select your preferred duration (3-days, 7-days, 15-days, or 30-days) for Shoutout campaign period
- Complete the purchase using Carousell Coins.
- Check Profile Insights page if your Shoutout is live.
You can only purchase 1 Shoutout for your account at any time.
Please note that in order for your Shoutouts to run its full course, you need to ensure that you have at least 3 active listings within your profile, or 3 active listings in the custom collection you are featuring. If you delete, reserve or mark listings as sold, resulting in there being less than 3 active listings in your profile or custom collection, your Shoutout will be terminated.
Can I choose the listings I want to display in my Shoutout?
Listings shown in your Shoutout will be based on the 20 most recent listings in your profile. Depending on the person who is browsing/searching, we will select the 3 most relevant listing to be shown.
We currently do not have the option to allow users to customise the listings displayed, but we are looking to have it in the future!
How do I check the performance of my Shoutout?
You can check the performance of your Shoutout by going to the "Me" tab > "Insights" button. From there, you can see your Shoutout's reach, unique clicks, number of profile visits.
If you are running a custom collection Shoutout campaign, users who click into the Shoutout will be directed to the specific collection to view. Hence, the profile insights chart will not reflect shoutout performance. You can view your Shoutout campaign performance by clicking onto the "Shoutout" tab from the "Insights" page.
Why did my Shoutout stop?
In order for your Shoutouts to run its full course, you need to ensure that you have at least 3 active listings within your profile, or 3 active listings in the custom collection you are featuring.
If you delete, reserve or mark listings as sold or inactive, resulting in there being less than 3 listings in your profile or custom collection, your Shoutout will be terminated and no refunds will be issued.
Your Shoutout may also end if the max total impression has been met.
How can I find my Shoutout?
As Shoutouts have been designed to appear to browsers who are already searching for items that are similar to what you have in your profile, depending on your search and browse history, you may not be able to see your own Shoutout.
Therefore, it is not guaranteed that you will see your own Shoutout. If you want to see the performance of your Shoutout, it is recommended to use profile insights instead.
Will Shoutout also show my video listings?
Shoutouts will only feature images. For listings with videos, the first image of the listing will be featured.
What is the difference between Bumps, Spotlight and Shoutouts?
A Shoutout allows you to showcase your profile brand and your account, along with a variety of products your account has to offer. It also allows you to also add an engaging caption to advertise non-listing specific content.
If you’re interested in increasing your overall views across more than 1 listing, we recommend using Shoutouts to drive traffic to your Profile or Custom Collection and get views across all your products.
On the other hand, Spotlight promotes a single listing. If you’re looking to increase the sales of a specific product, we recommend using a Bump or Spotlight on that particular listing.
