What is Buyer Magnet?
Updated as of 28 Jan 2026
Buyer Magnet is a promotional tool aimed at increasing the visibility of listings and attracting buyers. If your Buyer Magnet order doesn't lead to a Buyer Magnet Sale* within 30 days, you won't be charged for using this feature. This feature is currently available in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
*A “Buyer Magnet Sale” is any transaction detected by our AI system as having been completed from chats and/ or through the ‘Buy’ button.
Buyer Magnet boosts your listings by placing them in high-visibility areas and showcasing them to buyers who are most likely to be interested.
To set up Buyer Magnet, simply link your credit or debit card. In the event that a Buyer Magnet order leads to a Buyer Magnet Sale, a Buyer Magnet fee starting from 2% of the original listing price will be charged, with a minimum of SGD 0.50 (HKD 4 for Hong Kong and RM 2.00 for Malaysia]) capped at SGD 30 (HKD 200 for Hong Kong, and RM 100 for Malaysia).
Once Buyer Magnet is activated, its promotion tools run immediately. The Buyer Magnet fee is calculated based on the original listing price at the time of activation. If the listing price is reduced after setup, the fee will remain unchanged. If you later receive and accept a new offer, the fee will still be calculated using your original listing price, not the final offer amount.
What happens after I set up Buyer Magnet?
Once you have set up Buyer Magnet, you can view the performance of your listing from the Listing Insights page.
You will notice that we have triggered Bumps or Spotlights to boost your listings to attract more buyers.
If a Buyer Magnet Sale is made, the Buyer Magnet fee will be immediately deducted from your credit or debit card. You may refer to your coins history page for the charge. You can access this through your Profile > Coins page.
Once I have set up Buyer Magnet, can I choose to disable it?
Once you set up Buyer Magnet, your listing will automatically be promoted. As such, you will not be able to disable Buyer Magnet.
What happens if my listing is not sold?
If there is no Buyer Magnet Sale within 30 days from the day the Buyer Magnet is activated, the Buyer Magnet will be stopped and the authorisation charge initially held by your credit/ debit card will automatically drop off your credit/ debit card statement.
What happens if my listing is removed due to moderation?
If your listing was moderated and removed before a transaction was detected, you will not be charged for Buyer Magnet and the authorisation charge initially held by your credit/ debit card will automatically drop off your credit/ debit card statement after 30 days.
However if your listing was moderated after a transaction was detected, you will still be charged a Buyer Magnet success fee.
How many Buyer Magnets can I have?
To keep things fair for all sellers—especially those using Bumps and Spotlights—each seller can have up to 10 active Buyer Magnets at a time.
Once a Buyer Magnet ends—either because the item was sold, deleted, or deactivated —you can run more Buyer Magnets, up to the 10-listing limit.
Can I appeal a charge?
Yes, you can appeal Buyer Magnet charges—but only within 30 days of when the charge was made. We’ll review your case and refund you if there's a valid reason.
Contact our Support team to start an appeal.
Why is Buyer Magnet no longer available to me?
Buyer Magnet is currently available to selected users based on different factors, such as account activity and listing behavior, and availability may change over time. Additionally, Buyer Magnet is not available for Professional Accounts*.
*We keep an eye out for sellers using Buyer Magnet extensively. If we notice that someone on a Personal account is running a large number of successful Buyer Magnets, we may flag the account and switch it to a Professional account.
If you don't see the option anymore, you can try our visibility tools such as Bumps and Spotlights, which work in a similar way to help your items reach the right audience more effectively.
