Guide to Chat Limits

We get it—when you're hunting for a great deal or sourcing multiple items, timing matters. But sometimes, if you start too many new chats too quickly, your account may hit a temporary chat limit.

Why does this happen?

We pause chats for a short while when:

• You’ve started multiple new chats in a short time, and

• Our system detects a spike in activity that might seem suspicious.

This helps keep the marketplace safer for everyone—especially for our sellers who may get overwhelmed with spam-like messages.

What you'll see

If your chats are paused:

• You’ll see a countdown timer at the bottom of item pages and seller profiles (e.g. “Chat paused – 04:59”).
  
  
   

You’ll still be able to browse listings and message sellers you’ve already chatted with.
