Concert & Event Ticket Policy
Carousell follows official guidelines from event organisers and authorities to keep our marketplace safe and fair. To protect users, some tickets may be restricted or removed, especially when resale prices exceed the original value or when scams are likely. These measures help ensure tickets remain accessible to real fans at fair prices.
Understanding Ticket Restrictions
There are two types of restrictions applied to concert and event tickets on Carousell:
Banned Tickets
Tickets that cannot be resold at all, regardless of price. These are usually declared non-transferable by event organisers or authorities, and advisories may require us to remove all related listings (including buying, helping to buy, or trading). Example: Blackpink Singapore concert tickets (as advised by the police).
Prohibited Resale (High-Value Tickets)
Tickets that can be resold, but only at their original face value or lower. Selling them above the original price (scalping) is not allowed. Example: A $200 ticket can be resold for $200 or less, but not for $350.

For Sellers
What happens if I list a ticket for more than its original price?
The listing will be removed, and you’ll receive a warning. Repeated violations may lead to account restrictions or suspension. For more details on enforcement actions, please click here
What happens if I try to sell a restricted ticket?
Carousell will remove the listing and may take action against your account depending on repeated violations.
My listing was removed even though it’s not on the advisory list, and my price is correct. What can I do?
You may file an appeal for the removed listing here. Please note that each listing is reviewed individually before removal, based on Carousell’s policies and guidelines.
For Buyers
What happens if I buy a resale concert ticket?
Buyers who purchase resale tickets may risk being denied entry, depending on the event organizer’s terms and conditions. To avoid issues, check the organizer’s guidelines before making a transaction or buy directly from the authorized ticketing outlet. Please note, Carousell has no liability for any private transactions
How do I know if a ticket is allowed to be sold?
Listings on Carousell follow official ticketing rules. Restricted or banned tickets will be removed. We also recommend checking the event organizer’s website for their ticket guidelines, or you can refer to the ticket advisory list we provide here.
Are there risks when buying tickets above face value?
Yes. Tickets sold above face value may carry risks, including counterfeit or duplicate tickets, or sellers taking advantage of high demand through scalping or scams.
