[Singapore] CarouBiz: Moving subscriptions from App to Web
You can now save up to 10% on your monthly subscriptions by switching your CarouBiz subscriptions through App payments (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) to Web payments.
How do I know if i'm paying via App or Web?
Upon your subscription renewal, you will receive a receipt in your email regarding the renewal charges. If the sender of your email receipt is:
- Google Play Store or Apple App Store, it means that you are currently subscribed through App.
- Carousell <business.support@thecarousell.com>, it means that you are currently subscribed through Web.
How do I switch from App to Web?
For current iOS/Apple subscribers,
- Log in to your Carousell account on your desktop web
- Click on 'Profile' from the top right of your screen
- Select the 'CarouBiz' tab
- Click on 'Subscribe through Web'
- Add your card details for future payment and click on 'Subscribe through web'
- On your iOS device, cancel your Subscription before your next renewal by following the steps below:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions. (If you don't see "Subscriptions," tap "iTunes & App Store" instead. Then tap your Apple ID, tap View Apple ID, sign in, scroll down to Subscriptions, and tap Subscriptions.)
- Tap the Carousell CarouBiz subscription

Tap Cancel Subscription. If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, the subscription is already cancelled and won't renew.
You may also refer to Apple's support guide to cancel your subscription.
- On the day of your next renewal, your app subscription will no longer be charged and your web subscriptions will automatically start. You should see the charge now on your registered debit/credit card that you had input in step 5.
For current Android subscribers,
- Log in to your Carousell account on your desktop web
- Click on 'Profile' on the top right of your screen
- Select the 'CarouBiz' tab
- Click on 'Switch to Web'
- Add your card details and click on 'Subscribe through web'

Once done, your subscription on Web would be effective immediately. You will also receive a pro-rated refund from Google Play Store for the remaining days of your App subscription.
Will I get double charged on both App and Web?
For iOS transition, your web subscription will not start until we have confirmed that your Apple subscription has ended.
For Android transition, you will be charged upon making the switch to Web but you will also receive a pro-rated refund from Google Play Store for the remaining days of your App subscription.
What happens if I don't cancel my App subscription after adding my card details on Web?
For iOS subscribers, we will not switch your subscription to the web until your AppStore subscription is cancelled and ended. If the switch failed, we will inform you along with the next date on which we can retry to switch your subscription to the web. We will attempt to make the switch a total of 2 times, after which you will need to repeat all the steps again to switch your subscription to the web.
For Android subscribers, you will not need to manually cancel your Google Play Store subscription. We will cancel it for you automatically upon starting your web subscription, resulting in a pro-rated refund from Google Play Store.
