How to set up your Live show on Carousell?

Step 1:

Before your first show — Set up your account

Step 1: Set up your selling preferences

Go to your account menu (top right) > Manage > Selling Preferences. Select:

• Default delivery methods — enable Carousell Official Delivery (2-4 working days). Buyer pays the delivery fee.
• Default meet-up locations — add your preferred meet-up locations.

Click Apply to existing listings to sync to all your listings.

After a sale is completed, Carousell automatically sets the deal method based on the item's price:

• Under S$165 — defaults to Carousell Official Delivery
• S$165 and above — defaults to Meet-up

Create your live show

Step 2: Go to Carousell Live

Go to your account menu (top right) > Manage > Carousell Live. Click the green + button (bottom right) to create a new show. 

 

Step 3: Fill in show details

In the new live show window, add:

• Cover image — upload an image that represents what you’re selling.
• Title — Make it clear and engaging, such as "New Launch: [Product Name]", and only promote discounts, promotions, or exclusive offers that will be available during the live show.
• Description — let viewers know what to expect from your show. 
• Notes — add anything you want viewers to know, such as a reminder to link a credit card on Carousell beforehand, or shipping methods, etc. 
• Moderators — add team members to help manage your live show, such as moderating auctions, tracking bids, or preparing the next items to be featured in a Buy Now show.

💻 Note: Moderator access is currently available on the Web only.

• Date and Time — schedule when your show goes live.
• Delivery option — choose your preferred option (Meet up, delivery, or both)

Click Finish. Your show will appear under the Upcoming tab.

Note: Sellers are not allowed to direct viewers to external channels such as Instagram, Telegram, TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp, or personal websites during a live show.

All purchases and transactions arising from a Carousell Live show must be completed on the Carousell platform.

Add items to your show

Step 4: Open Shop from your show

On the upcoming show card, click … (top right of card) > Shop

Step 5: Add items

Click the green + button > choose item type:

• Create Buy Now items — pulls from your existing listings. Select the listing(s) and tap Continue
• Create Auction items — fill in:  photo, title, description, minimum bid price, auction duration (in seconds). Click Save.

Note: When clicking on Create Auction items, you will see a window to select listings. Tap Skip Listings to create separate items for Auction.

Repeat the steps to add more items. Items appear in your shop queue with price, type, quantity, and duration. Reorder with the arrows or delete with the bin icon.

What’s Anti-snipe?

Anti-snipe helps prevent last-second bidding and gives all buyers a fair chance to place a counter bid. This feature is automatically enabled for all auctions.

How it works:

If a buyer places a bid during the last 3 seconds of an auction, the auction timer will automatically reset by 3 seconds.

Example:

• An auction starts with a 10-second bidding duration.
• A buyer places a bid with 2 seconds remaining.
• The auction timer resets to 3 seconds.
• Another buyer places a bid during the newly reset last 3 seconds.
• The timer resets again to 3 seconds.

The auction will keep resetting by 3 seconds each time a new bid is placed within the final 3 seconds, until no further bids are received during that period.

Step 6: Set up Antisniping

From … > Antisniping. Toggle on to automatically extend the auction timer when a last-second bid comes in. Enter:

• Extension window — how many seconds before auction end triggers the extension
• Extension duration — how many seconds to add
• Mode — Reset (resets to extension duration) or Add (adds time on top)

Click Save.

Step 7: Set Auction Tiers

From … > Auction Tiers. Define bid increment rules by price range, e.g.:

• $1-$100: bid increases by $1
• $101-$500: bid increases by $5
• $501 and above: bid increases by $10

Add more tiers with + Add tier. Click Save.
