[Singapore] Selling on Carousell Live
Carousell Live is a feature that lets you sell to buyers through live video shows on the Carousell app. You can showcase your products in real time and interact with viewers as they watch.
There are three ways to sell during a live show:
- Auction only – Run live auctions where buyers bid on your items in real time. Great for collectibles, unique items, and products where demand may drive higher selling prices.
- Buy now only – Offer items at a fixed price for buyers to purchase instantly during the show. Suitable for sellers with multiple quantities or fixed-price inventory.
- Auction + Buy Now – Combine both formats in a single show. Auction selected items to create excitement and engagement, while offering other items at fixed prices for immediate purchase.
All transactions are completed through Carousell.

Going live helps you reach buyers beyond search, showcase multiple items in a single session, engage directly with your audience, build awareness for your shop, and move inventory faster.
Who can host a live show?
Carousell Live is available to selected sellers with a Carousell account, including Professional Accounts and high-volume sellers.

I've been selected—how do I access Carousell Live?
Once you're eligible to host, a Live Shows option will appear on your Me page in the Carousell app. Tap it to access your live selling tools and start preparing for your first show.
If you don't see the option yet, make sure you're using the latest version of the app or reach out to your assigned Carousell representative for assistance.
Hosting a Live Show
What can I sell on Carousell Live?
Carousell Live is currently focused on categories that perform well in a live selling format, including:
- Trading cards (TCG)
- Collectibles
- Luxury items
- Women’s/ Men’s fashion items
- Electronics like mobile phones and gadgets
- Other categories may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
How long is a typical show?
Sellers are required to stream for at least 1 hour. Depending on your inventory and audience engagement, shows can run for up to 3 hours.
Can I direct viewers to my social media channels or website?
No. Sellers are not allowed to direct viewers to external channels such as Instagram, Telegram, TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp, or personal websites during a live show.
All purchases and transactions arising from a Carousell Live show must be completed on the Carousell platform.
Can I cancel my scheduled show?
As live shows are supported by pre-planned marketing and operational activities, we ask sellers to commit to their scheduled slot whenever possible.
If you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact your assigned Carousell representative at least 48 hours before your scheduled show.
Can I host from multiple devices?

Is there a maximum price for items I can sell during a live?
Yes. The maximum transaction value for any item sold through Carousell Live is S$20,000, whether it is sold via Auction or Buy Now. Transactions exceeding this amount will be automatically rejected and cannot be completed through Carousell Live.

Payments, Shipping & After the Sale
Where can I view the transactions placed from Carousell Live?
Go to Me page → My Sales to view transactions from your live shows, including completed orders and payment status.
When and how do I get paid?
Payment from Carousell Live orders can be Withdrawn to your linked bank account once the order is marked as "Order received" by the buyer.
If this is your first Carousell Live sale, you will need to do a mandatory one-time KYC to Withdraw your balance. Learn how to link your bank account here.
What if the buyer doesn't mark the order as received?
Orders are automatically completed within 2 days of successful tracked delivery, after which the funds will be released to your linked bank account.
What happens if a buyer doesn't pay?
In most cases, this won't happen. For both Auction and Buy Now purchases, buyers are automatically charged using their linked payment method when the transaction is completed.
Payment issues are uncommon and typically only occur if there is a payment failure from the buyer's bank or payment provider.
Are there fees or commissions on live sales?
Yes. A 6% all-inclusive fee applies to completed sales made through Carousell Live, including payment processing fees. This fee will be automatically deducted from your earnings for every transaction.
Support & Guidelines
Are there rules I need to follow when going live?
Yes — all live shows must follow Carousell's community guidelines and seller policies. Prohibited items and conduct rules apply on live just as they do across the platform.
How do I get help before or during a show?
Once you're selected, a Carousell representative will guide you through the onboarding process and provide support before and during your live show.
