What is Carousell Live?
Carousell Live is a new way to shop on Carousell through live video. Hosts go live, showcase their items, and you can buy in real time alongside other viewers.
There are three ways to shop during a live show:
Auction Bid on items in real time. Each auction item is called a Lot. Every Lot has a starting price and a timer. When the timer runs out, the highest eligible bid wins.
Buy Now Grab items at a fixed price and buy them instantly during the show. No bidding needed.
Auction + Buy Now A mix of both in the same show. Some items go up for auction, others are available to buy instantly.
Who can host a live show?
Carousell Live is currently available to selected sellers with a Carousell account, including Professional Accounts and high-volume sellers.

Joining and watching
How do I find a live show?
Look out for the Live button bubble on bottom right corner in the Carousell app on home page
Do I need to sign up to watch?
No need to sign up, just open the app and enter the show. But, you'll need a Carousell account to watch, chat or bid.
Can I chat during the show?
Yes. You can use the chat to talk to the host, react to Lots and connect with other viewers.
Bidding
How do bids work?
To start bidding, you’ll first need to add your delivery address and link a valid credit card.
When a Lot opens, you’ll see the current bid price and a countdown timer. Swipe to place a bid. Bids increase in fixed increments.
When the timer ends, the highest eligible bidder wins the Lot.
Can I cancel a bid?
No. Winning a bid is final and cannot be cancelled.
Change of mind, regret or bidding higher than you intended are not grounds for a refund either. Bid carefully before placing a bid.
What happens if I win a bid?
Your linked payment method is charged automatically. You'll get an order confirmation and can track your order just like other Carousell 'Buy' orders.
Is there a maximum price?
Yes. The most you can spend on a single item through Carousell Live is S$20,000, whether it's bought via Auction or Buy Now.
What’s Anti-snipe?
How it works:
If a buyer places a bid during the last 3 seconds of an auction, the auction timer will automatically reset by 3 seconds.
Example:
- An auction starts with a 10-second bidding duration.
- A buyer places a bid with 2 seconds remaining.
- The auction timer resets by 3 seconds.
- Another buyer places a bid during the newly reset last 3 seconds.
- The timer resets by another 3 seconds.
Payment and delivery
When do I pay?
For auctions, you're charged immediately on your linked credit card the moment you win a bid.
For Buy now, you will be routed to the check out page to complete your order.
How do I get my item?
The seller will reach out to you after your order is confirmed for the next steps. If you'd like to arrange shipping separately, chat with the seller directly. Any delivery charges apply on top and are requested separately by the seller.
Are there extra fees?
There are currently no additional platform fees charged to buyers.
However, if you choose delivery, arrangements will need to be made separately with the seller, and additional delivery charges may apply.
After you win
What if there's a problem with my order?
If something goes wrong, such as your item not arriving or not matching what was shown, chat with the seller directly to sort it out. You can reach them through Carousell chat after your order is confirmed.
Live chat rules
Keep the chat friendly and respectful. Don’t:
- Harass, threaten or insult anyone
- Share someone else’s personal information
- Spam the chat or promote unrelated items
- Share links to other platforms
- Try to move the deal off Carousell
Hosts and Carousell may mute, remove or ban anyone who breaks these rules. This may happen without warning.
