How do I manage my push and email notifications?
To stay updated on your Carousell activity, check your phone settings to make sure notifications are enabled for the Carousell app.
You can also choose what updates to receive from Carousell by managing your push and email notification preferences in the app.
To manage your notification preferences:
- Go to your profile, then select the ‘Me’ tab on app or tap on your profile photo on Web
- Select ‘Settings’
- Select ‘Notification settings’
- Toggle your notification settings accordingly
Email notifications for chats and offers
Email notifications for chats and offers are now sent based on your account type.
If you’re on a normal account, you’ll receive a daily summary of unread chats and offers.
If you’re using a Professional account, you can choose when to receive email notifications for unread chats and offers:
- ‘Once a day’: we’ll send you a daily summary of unread chats and offers
- ‘As they come in’: we’ll email you when a chat or offer goes unread
You can manage this under ‘Transactions’ in your notification settings.
Email notifications for new listings
We no longer send email notifications for new listings effective 18 May 2026.
After you create a listing, you’ll see whether it was successfully listed on the listing success screen.
Why can’t I turn off transaction notifications?
Transaction notifications are important updates about your chats, offers and reviews.
To make sure you don’t miss these updates, you’ll need to keep at least 1 channel turned on. You can choose push notifications, email notifications or both, but you won’t be able to turn off all channels for transaction notifications.
