[Singapore] Seller's Reliability Checklist for Watches

1. Full set & paperwork check

• Verify box, booklets, swing tags, warranty card, links and accessories are correct for that reference and production year.

   

2. Serial & reference verification

Check that the serial and reference numbers on:

• Case (between lugs or rehaut, depending on generation)

• Bracelet/clasp codes

• Warranty card

All match and are correct for that model/production period.

3. Physical & microscopic inspection

• Weight, case finishing, edges, crown and tube, engravings, dial printing, hands, lume plots.

• Loupe/microscope inspection of dial, hands, bezel, rehaut engraving, movement finishing to spot aftermarket or counterfeit parts.

4. Movement, timing & water-resistance tests

• Open the caseback (where appropriate) to inspect the movement and rotor.

• Run on timing machine; pressure test for water resistance; crystal (sapphire) check.
