[Malaysia] Self-billed e-invoice for sellers
This article is for Sellers only. If you’re a Buyer, please refer to our guidelines to request for e-invoice.
Starting 1 July 2025, all sellers must submit their e-invoicing details before withdrawing earnings from Carousell. This request is in compliance with the regulation rolled out by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) . If these details are missing, you won’t be able to withdraw your earnings from your Balance.

How to submit your e-invoice details
1. Go to your profile by tapping the ‘Me’ tab.
2. Go to 'Sales' tab.
3. Under the ‘Completed’ tab, select the relevant order (you may tap on any completed orders after 1 July 2025)
4. In the Order details page, scroll down and tap ‘Complete e-invoice details’.
5. Fill in the required info and tap ‘Submit details’.
💡 Your e-invoice details will be automatically saved for faster withdrawals in future.
✏️ If you wish to edit your e-invoice details later, go to the My Balance page and tap the settings icon. This brings you to 'Update withdrawal details' where you will see your saved e-invoice details.
The e-invoice will be sent to your email declared in the e-invoice details page.
What information do I need to provide?
For individuals:
- Full name
- Identification number (NRIC, MyPR/Red card, My Tentera, Passport, or Visa)
- Email ➡️ e-invoice will be sent to the email address provided here.
- Phone number
- Billing address
- Tax Identification Number (TIN)* (optional)
For registered businesses:
- Company name
- Business registration number (SSM)
- Company Tax Identification Number (TIN)*
- Email ➡️ e-invoice will be sent to the email address provided here.
- Phone number
- Billing address
- Company Tax Identification Number (TIN)*
- SST number (if applicable)
*How do I get my Tax Identification Number (TIN)?
Your Tax Identification Number (TIN) is required to receive a self-billed e-invoice.
To check or register for a TIN:
- Visit the LHDN website for full details
- Access the My Tax Portal → select e-Daftar and fill in the required details for your company or individual profile
- Use HASIL Live Chat on their website
- Call 03-8911 1000 or 603-8911 1100 (if you’re overseas)
- Submit an enquiry via the LHDN feedback form (Borang Maklum Balas)
- Or visit your nearest LHDN office
