Removal of Carousell Groups

From 12 January 2023*, the Groups feature from Carousell will be removed. There will no longer be access points to Groups and all existing groups will be closed for both content creation and viewing. 

To enjoy the best browsing experience, we recommend that you regularly update your Carousell APP to the latest version. 

Why are we closing down Groups?
Regrettably, we decided to remove this feature as we have noticed that very few of our users are getting value out of the Groups feature. We saw this as a necessary step to continue to serve our community with our best by using the resources used to maintain this feature and invest them on new features that will enable you to get even more value out of Carousell.

Is there going to be a replacement feature?
There will not be a replacement feature in the immediate term. However, we are not ruling out the possibility of another community feature here at Carousell!

Is there a way to extract past discussions done in the Groups?
Individual group participants are responsible for securing a copy of any content before the sunset of the feature, 12 January 2023*.

*For Groups in ID, HK, MY, PH, TW markets, Groups will be removed on 19 January 2023.
