[Singapore] What are listing insertions?

Carousellers have a general quota of 30 active listings at a time across all categories except Property, Autos, Jobs and Services.

Categories not included in the general quota:

• Autos
• Property
• Jobs
• Business/Lifestyle/Home Services
• Learning & Enrichment

Listing insertion is a fixed number of times you may create a new listing or mark a listing as active per month for your general listings. 

Note: Listing insertions will be effective from 1 September 2020, and will reset every first day of the month.

Without a CarouBiz plan, your listing insertion limit is 100 by default. 

If you’re subscribed to a CarouBiz plan or custom quota add-on, you’ll be entitled to more listing insertions. On top of the default 100, you’ll have twice your additional general quota for listing insertions. 

For example: 

If you are subscribed to Starter Caroubiz and have purchased a Custom Quota bundle of 50,

• Total general quota : 100 = 30 default + 70 additional (20 from Caroubiz + 50 from Custom Quota)
  
• Listing insertions : 240 = 100 default + (2 x 70 additional)

Once you’ve exceeded your listing insertion limit, you’ll not be able to create a new listing or mark a listing as active even if you’re still within your general quota. To find your listing insertion usage and limit, check out the ‘Manage quota’ page > ‘General quota’ tab.

What counts as a listing insertion?

You use up a listing insertion when you:

• Create and list a new listing
• Mark a reserved/inactive listing as active

Doing the following does not count towards your listing insertions:

• Edit an active listing
• Mark a listing as inactive/reserved/sold

Where can I see my listing insertion limit and usage?

You can find your listing insertion limit in the ‘Manage quota’ page > ‘General quota’ tab.

Can I increase my listings insertion limit?

You can increase your listings insertion limit by subscribing to CarouBiz or upgrading your existing CarouBiz plan. Your listing insertion limit will increase to the higher tier immediately upon subscription. Otherwise, you may wait till the first day of each month for the listing insertion limit to reset.
