How does Sell to Carousell work?
Through the Sell button on the Carousell App/Web, and under the "Sell to Carousell" section, tap on "Mobile" to sell your phone to Carousell.
You will receive an indicative price quote when you provide the brand, model, body condition, screen condition, display condition and any other defects of the phone you are looking to sell.
Most of the required information of your phone can be found in your phone's “About” page.
You will be offered an initial price quote. If you are satisfied with the quoted price* and would like to proceed, you can schedule the pickup at your doorstep within the next 5 days.
*Depending on our final assessment of the device, the final offer may differ from the initial offer . You may choose to accept or reject the final offer.
During the doorstep pick-up, a full diagnostic test of your phone will be performed.
Once the diagnostic test has been completed, you will be given the final quote. If you are happy with the final quote, our agent will make an instant payment and will proceed to perform a factory reset upon receiving your phone. Please ensure that you have backed up your data prior to your appointment.
Please note that not all phone brands and models are accepted. We accept most models from major brands such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi OnePlus, and Vivo. If your phone model does not appear in the dropdown selection, it means that we are not accepting that particular model.
Do note that we will only accept phones that are able to be switched on, and the phone has to have the Carousell App downloaded.

What if I disagree with the phone assessment your app gives me?
There is no obligation for you to accept our quote. If you are dissatisfied with the quote offered , you may choose to list it on the marketplace instead.
Is it guaranteed that I receive the indicative quote amount?
At the point of device pick-up, the agent will assess the condition of the phone to confirm that it is as declared. If the condition of the phone is deemed to be lower than what was declared, the final quote offered in person may be lower than the initial offer quoted. If you’re not satisfied with the final quote, there is no obligation to accept the quote.
What if I change my mind about selling the phone to Carousell?
You can change your mind at any point before the final offer is accepted in person.

How does doorstep cashout work?
- Upon submitting the Sell to Carousell form, an email will be sent to you with the summarised booking details
- Our customer service representative will call or WhatsApp you to confirm the details and your preferred pick-up time slot
- A confirmation email will be sent to you with scheduled pick-up date and time.
- A tech agent will go to your place at the scheduled date and time to do a final inspection of the phone and confirm the final offer.
- If the offer is accepted, the money will be transferred to you on the spot via DuitNow.
Can I change my DuitNow Number after booking?
For verification purposes, our tech agent can only DuitNow the number submitted in the form. Please ensure your DuitNow number is accurate before submitting your booking. Should you need to make any changes, you will be required to cancel the existing booking and you will have to re-submit the form again with the updated DuitNow number.
